Summer Bridge is an introductory course that allows 3-year-old children to emerge in an number of activities and learning opportunities through an inquiry based curriculum in which children will begin to formulate questions to build new understandings. Children will begin to adapt to classroom routines and environment to make a positive transition from home to school. The Summer Bridge program is aimed toward engaging early learners in powerful learning experiences created through hands on learning and developmentally appropriate practices in two inquiry units: All about me and my Family and School Helpers. We will provide indoor and outdoor activities plus opportunities for learning, friendship and explorations. The classroom’s environment focuses on the building of cognitive, emotional, social and physical skills for children. Summer Bridge gives students opportunities to express him or herself creatively through music, art, dance and P.E that will help develop gross motor skills. We encourage and support an environment that builds a child's self-confidence. We encourage that children come prepared to have all the fun that comes with summer!
